Here’s a recent website done using WordPress as a CMS. The client Tom Shea has a lot of content so we utilize drop down menu’s to control the information architecture of the website. This was a challenging website since many of the pages look different, which required many different template files. Another challenge was the size restrictions. I’m used to designing relatively fluid websites and to reacquaint myself to overflow attributes. I was able to keep the website looking almost exactly like the PSD file given to me so we were able to avoid making any major changes to the site since it was all pre-approved.

Another web design rush job was given to me recently. Pretty simple site utilizing WordPress as a CMS. The site design didn’t purpose any challenges so I was able to get online within hours of receiving the PSD file. Once online the client made a lot of changes that required some major changes to the size of the site, and reformatting. To be completely honest I think the original site design is a step up from the finished product but unfortunately I don’t get to make the final decisions. The client is very pleased with the website and that is what really matters. Check out the website! >> -

Posted in: Web Design
I have been super busy lately and have finally found some time to update my portfolio. Here is a website that I that I recently worked on for ColletoBlu.com. I was given a PSD and told to create a working website that utilizes WordPress as a CMS. This particular site purposed a challenge for me in regards to the sidebar navigation on the left side. They asked for the posts to show up on the left side with a specific image for each post. I was able to create a way to utilize the Custom Fields functionality to come up with the desired sidebar navigation (I’m currently writing a tutorial on how I did it, so check back soon).
